Why info about Asian girl rock? What is your purpose?
We feel very passionate about this type of music, and due to the lack of English information all in one place about this growing area, we felt that creating this site will help more people discover artists that they might not have heard otherwise.

Why do you just offer 30 second samples of videos and music? I want full albums!
We fully respect and support the copyrights of each individual artist that we feature on this site, and highly recommend that you purchase the albums to show that you support their music. 30 second video/audio samples give you a good taste of each artists style, while preserving the copyright of the artist. We will NOT help anyone asking for full tracks/MP3s or where to get them (except for where to purchase) so don’t waste your time asking.

I can’t understand any of this! Why do you listen to music you can’t understand
Well, first off US music doesn’t cut it for us. Turn on MTV and what do you see (besides reality shows)... you see rap, hip hop or R&B. Now there isn’t anything wrong with those genres, but it really can get boring considering the many other styles of great music out there. We don’t understand any of the Asian languages (and don’t pretend to) but it isn’t the understanding of what Asian artists are actually singing, but the feeling the song evokes inside of you. By not understanding what is being said, you pay more attention to individual parts of the song...the drums, guitars, vocals...and it really makes you listen to music in a entirely new way.

In each feature we have links to where you can purchase that particular artists music. We recommend purchasing through YESASIA.com as they have been in the business for a while and we have dealt with them with no problems.

Do any of the artists on this site tour in the US?
It is becoming more and more frequent that Asian artists tour in the US due to the rising popularity of their music here in the states. Keep watch on the main news page about tours/concerts that are happening around the US for Asian music artists.

How frequent do you update the site?
At the moment since we are not a news-heavy site, we do not have a set update schedule. We highly recommend that you sign up for email updates so that you can be notified when our next update occurs.
